Results of Operation of High-Purity Inert Atmosphere Hot Cell

The paper presents test results for the pilot large airtight shielded cell with a high-purity inert environment at the Siberian Chemical Combine, intended for testing fast reactor SNF pyrochemical treatment equipment and processes.

This is the first inert cell with such specifications designed in Russia.

The experimental data obtained will be used in developing pilot inert cells for the SNF Reprocessing Module of the Pilot Demonstration Energy Complex at the Siberian Chemical Combine, and for developing a technology for the manufacture and mounting of large airtight inert cells.
